It is hard to believe another class is about to the chosen for the Leadership Institute. We have 52 applications for the class and interviews will begin early next month. Many of you, I know, were instrumental in recruiting this outstanding group of candidates.
I look forward to seeing you at our annual summer picnic. It appears that we will have over 100 of our Institute members attending. It will be great to see everyone on the 28th!
We are well into summer with picnics and vacation plans. We look forward to a huge turnout for our annual picnic at the Governor's Residence. Governor Kasich has graciously permitted us to use his official residence despite his inability to attend personally.
We are excited to see you all as we prepare to launch our next class. Remember: Class of 2011, the picnic is when you choose your class president and board representative so please try to attend.
Finally, our members continue to take their place in government and the political structure. Congratulations to Chris Schmenk who has landed the difficult and very important job as our new Director of the Department of Development. Well done!
Hope to see you all soon.
