Thanks to everyone who was able to attend our summer picnic at the Governor's Residence. It was wonderful to see so many Institute members and catch up on all the activities involving career changes, running for public office, participating in campaigns for fellow Institute members or other good Republicans and all the other exciting things you are doing.
With a new year beginning, we are anxious for you all to meet the 24 women who have been selected for the 2011-12 class and hope you have marked November 17 on your calendar for our annual continuing education program and the dinner that evening.
Also, I hope as many of you as possible will join us for our annual fundraising luncheon on October 21 at the Columbus Athletic Club. Congressman Pat Tiberi of the 12th Congressional District will be our speaker this year. You should receive a personal invitation to the luncheon but if you do not, please e-mail Linda Dotson at email@example.com and one will be sent to you. One of the real highlights of the luncheon is when classes are introduced and our other guests are always so impressed to see how many women have now been involved in our leadership program!
Welcome to new beginnings!
Once more the school bell rings and the real "new year" for many begins! As for the Institute, it is a new beginning for us also, as our new class of 24 begins its year this week. We have a very strong class which we hope to introduce you to over the class year.
We also have our annual fundraiser happening this October 21 and we do hope all of you can come. The cost to run these classes is large and your support of this fundraiser (Bring friends! Find sponsors!) does make a difference to this Institute's ability to continue to influence the lives of women in this state.
Finally, as we come into this highly charged political season, we do hope you all find time to join us in our annual Continuing Education program. Discussion re: presidential politics and the convention process as well as the political climate in general should keep this discussion lively, to say the least!Betty
So, as the bell rings to start our year, we hope all of you will join us in the classroom of politics - Institute style.
Please join us for our annual fundraiser featuring
Hon. Patrick J. Tiberi, Congressman - 12th District.
