Have you ever dreamed of being a mayor, trustee, council member, judge or a legislator but did not know how to make it happen?
Do you want to have a leadership role in the Republican Party? Are you interested in serving on a government board or commission? Would you like to be a leader in your community?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, this program is for you.
How Do I Apply?
Women who want to become members of the Institute must complete the application online.
The deadline for submitting your application is June 15 each year.
Required in-person interviews will be held August 8 and 9, 2019. The final selection of the members of the 2019-20 class will be made in August.
Each year we select between 20-25 potential Republican women leaders from around the state to receive this specialized training in public service and politics. The members are selected by the Institute’s Selection Committee after an extensive review and interview process.
Participants in the program are selected based on their leadership skills in their selected fields of work or service to their community. These candidates, whose applications demonstrate achievement, commitment and interest in public/political service, will be invited to interview with the Institute Selection Committee on August 8 and 9, 2019. The purpose of the interview process is to evaluate each candidate’s leadership ability, communication skills, general presence and sincerity of commitment to public/political service. Applicants who meet all of these criteria are invited to participate in the program.
Please Note: We receive many applications each year and because of our limited class size, are not able to include all of the applicants who meet our criteria. We have numerous graduates of the Institute who have applied two or three times before being selected.
